PES students enjoyed Halloween at school this year!!!

(10/30) Students reading and playing with their stuffed animals in 1st grade.

(10/30) Second grade students enjoyed pumpkin rotations filled with fun activities and hands on learning experiences. Our great parent volunteers helped the day run so smoothly.

(10/30) Second grade Gifted students are finishing up a unit about animals. They chose an animal, researched it, created a Google Slide presentation about their animal and used LEGO bricks to teach the class. Then they created egg carton art. The students also practiced public speaking and working together. Each child was paired with another child and they combined their two animals to create a brand new species. They all really did a great job!

(10/23) Harvest Walk downtown Pontotoc. Thank you to all the businesses that participated. It is always a fun time!

(10/23) First grade had a great day rotating through activities for their pumpkin patch day!

(10/23) Second grade enjoyed their field trip to the Heritage Museum in New Albany!

(10/23) Ms. Haney, Ms Kayla, Mrs. Katie and Mrs. Christie took their class to Mrs Mable Crawford at the Westmoreland Cabin. Thank you to Mrs. Robin and Molly Sansing for helping and bringing Petunia the pig. Thanks to White Farms-Jacob White-for providing the pumpkins.

(10/23) This week Mrs Diana’s kinder class decorated the door with fall leaves. However, we used a different mode of painting. We dropped dots of red, yellow, orange, and green onto cardstock and dropped a paper clip into the paint. We then used a magnet under the cardstock to move and mix the paint. After our paint dried, we traced a leaf template on our paper and cut it out.

(10/23) Thank you Pontotoc City School District and Marshal Johnson for providing PES with a BBQ lunch for being an A school and district. Thank you central office for serving our teachers!
