Mrs. Homan’s second graders are learning about the United States and maps. They are taking part in a post card exchange with teachers from all 50 states. When post cards are received they discuss state facts and locate where they are in comparison with Mississippi. As part of this learning experience, Mrs. Homan's class has been reading Flat Stanley books. Flat Stanley is a character who was flattened by a bulletin board and mailed to different places around the world. They also located Mexico while observing Dia de las Muertas this week.
